664 approaches each landscape project  as a poetic collaboration between function and the natural conditions of site.  As limitations of our environment define how we live,  there are opportunities to define an environment which suits this relationship between the two realms of user and place.  Landscapes demonstrate our interaction with the natural environment in ways that achieve both utilitarian as well as spiritual expression of our surroundings.  Edges define borders which facilitate transitions from one space to another.  Whether between interior and exterior or from one function to another, 664 is adept at achieving a sense of place through mechanical and balanced compositions of form and scale through the natural as well as built environment.

Landscapes are vulnerable to and often reflect the weather/climate conditions as well as physical activity they are subjected to.  As a garden, the landscape requires different degrees of maintenance directly related to how elements work with or against the effects imposed upon it.
